FAQs

Can I return my purchase?

Yes - You have a legal right to cancel a contract which starts from the date we receive your order and a contract between us is formed. If the products have already been delivered to you, you have a period of fourteen days in which you may cancel, starting from the day after the day you receive the products. Days mean calendar days, including weekends and public holidays.

Where you have cancelled a contract and the products have already been delivered to you, you should return them to us as soon as possible and in any event no later than 14 days after the day you inform us of your right to cancel.

You will be responsible for covering the return postage costs if you decide to cancel your order after dispatch and the products should return to us in good condition.

What if I receive damaged goods?

Whilst I take care in packaging up your items before they go in the post, unfortunately sometimes things do break.

If your item has arrived to you in less that perfect condition then please send us a snap shot and let us know so we can make it right.

Can I send a gift to someone?

Yes - most definitely! I love gifting and have several gift packages in the pipeline. Just make sure that you pop the right address into the shipping information prior to check out.

Do you make everything at home?

Yes and no.

Well - all of the wax melts, candles and skincare products are handmade. I personally make absolutely everything apart from the bath salts which are handmade in Wales.

All of the Wild Venus goodies are created in a small workshop in Abbey Village, Chorley. Getting products to market is an extremely long, laborious and expensive process with each product having to get cosmetically assessed to ensure its safety.

Sometimes we may offer Pre-Order on a product which means the sales of the product can ( hopefully ) fund getting our safety assessments completed.

Is my lip balm out of date?

As is the law, all skin care products come with a recommended use period after opening (PAO). For lip balms this time is recommended to 6 months. Other products which are made for more sensitive areas such as mascara, carry a much shorter PAO suggestion. The open container symbol you'll find on packaging symbolises the PAO

Why has my lip balm gone spotty or grainy?

Don’t worry! This is completely normal and a strange and wonderful effect of nature.

The white spots that you might find on the top of your balm are a result of the shea butters natural urge to recrystallise after it has been melted and combined with the other ingredients. It is a reason why you don’t often find shea butter in a lip balm even though Wild Venus believes that this is the best, most nourishing, non greasy, non-pore-clogging and long lasting way to hydrate your lips.

The recrystallisation of the shea butter does in no way affect the quality or performance, and the appearance of the crystals will disappear once your finger or lips glide over the balm.

What’s in my bar of soap?

As I make certain products I know what goes in them to make them so great. I can guarantee that all products used are from sustainable, vegan approved and ethically sourced manufacturers. This includes soaps, sponges and the ingredients that go into lip balms and wax melts.

With the items which are made by clever creatives elsewhere (such as our bath salts), I ensure that they are following ethical practices which align with Wild Venus’ code of ethics and what our customers highly value.

You can check the ingredients on each product by finding the INCI on the label. INCI stands for International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient. This is the correct labelling in Latin for all cosmetics sold in the UK and the European Union.

Are your products organic?

While it seems daft not to use organic ingredients considering the demand for them, Wild Venus truly believes in making good quality luxury products an affordable treat for all budgets. There may be scope for an organic range in the future but right now we are committed to developing our range of affordable luxury.
