Wild Venus is looking for a confident and friendly sales assistant to help guide customers through the shopping process. Working alongside artisan makers you’ll become an important and valued member of our tiny Wild Venus team and you'll help nurture new customer relationships and strengthen existing ones.

You'll be a natural people person, confident in striking up conversations and a skilled listener who is positive and solution driven. You will be an optimistic and bright personality to showcase wonderful handmade skincare and home fragrances.

The environment will change from week to week! One day you may be in the middle of Manchester Market Street and the next, inside a beautiful cathedral. 

The work will primarily be on weekends although there may be scope for additional shifts during the week.

This is a casual role which will start at 2 days per month. Your rate of pay is £100 per day and trading is typically around 6 hours plus time to set up and pack down. You'll travel to markets around the North West with a fuel allowance for longer distances over an hour away. 

What will be your objectives?

• Serving customers and delivering exceptional service to our shoppers, resulting in repeat visits and long-term brand loyalty.
• Inform patrons about product features and benefits, offering opinions and recommendations as appropriate.
• Gain Subscribers on our Mailing List. 
• Encouraging follows on Social Media

And what about Responsibilities? 

• Working across a variety of markets including both indoor and outdoor pitches in all seasons.
• Represent our company with professionalism and enthusiasm
• Treat customers with respect and courtesy
• Travelling to events and creating visually appealing retail displays. 
• Set up and pack down at events. Keep the merchandise display attractive, tidying up and restocking throughout the day.
• Taking photos and creating reels whilst at the market. 
• Become familiar with the Wild Venus products and be able to make suggestions to customers as well as upselling similar products. 
• Process Cash and card payments using an app. Ensure all devices are adequately charged. 
• Collecting stock and display equipment from our workshop in Abbey Village PR6 8DN prior to the event.
• Maintaining a positive relationship with other traders and market managers. 

You'll Need these Skills and Attributes 

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Friendly, professional and positive attitude
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 
• A good level of fitness and be comfortable standing all day. 
• Driving licence and a vehicle is essential.
• Able to pick up on body language cues. 
• Show initiative and be sales motivated.
