Welcome to Wild Venus: A New Creative Haven in Burnley

There's a new sparkle on Brown Street—and it's handmade, heart-led, and powered by women. I'm beyond excited to finally open the doors to Wild Venus, our brand new bricks-and-mortar shop located at 6 Brown Street, Burnley, UK. This isn’t just a retail space—it’s a creative sanctuary, a celebration of craft, and a place where community and small businesses shine.

Handmade, Heartmade

Wild Venus is home to everything I make—soaps, skincare, candles, and more. Every item is handcrafted with intention, using skin-loving ingredients and beautiful scent blends. But what truly makes this space special is that it’s not just about my products—it's a platform for others, too.

I’ve curated a selection of beautiful items from 20 other incredible women-owned small businesses. From unique ceramics and handmade jewellery to gorgeous stationery and home decor, every piece in the shop has been chosen with love and care. These makers pour just as much heart into their work as I do, and I’m so proud to support and showcase their talent.

A Workshop That Became a Shop

When I first set out to find a larger workspace to make my products, I quickly realised that renting a space just for production wasn’t financially sustainable. So I flipped the idea on its head: what if half the space became a shop, and the other half remained a working studio?

That’s exactly what Wild Venus became—a hybrid space where creativity is both made and displayed. Customers are welcome to browse, shop, and even catch a glimpse of the making process happening in the back. You’ll get to try products, ask questions, and see the love that goes into every bar of soap or jar of balm. There are even plans in the pipeline to host small workshops, so you can come and get hands-on with the magic yourself.

A Place to Perch, Smell, and Stay a While

The shop officially opened on Saturday, 26th April, following a buzzing pre-launch party two days earlier. The space is warm and welcoming, with a relaxed vibe and even a couple of stools at the bar where you can perch and chat. I want everyone who steps through the door to feel happy, inspired, and totally at home.

Wild Venus is more than a retail space—it’s a reflection of who I am and what I care about. It’s about slow shopping, meaningful stories, and a sense of community. I'm especially passionate about sharing the journeys of the other makers I stock—because their work deserves to be celebrated, and cross-promotion is a beautiful thing when you’re building a collective dream.

Starting Fresh in a New Town

As exciting as this journey is, it hasn’t been without challenges. I’m brand new to Burnley, which means building visibility and connecting with the community is going to take time and effort. But I’m ready. I’d love to collaborate with more local makers, community groups, and businesses—because I believe the best things happen when we lift each other up.
